Born March 18, 1945, in Lebanon, she was the daughter of Emerald J. and Mary Frances Harlos Martin.
She was the 1963 valedictorian graduate of Patricksburg High School.
She attended Vincennes University, receiving an Associates Degree in Business management.
On April 14, 1963, she married Gary Myers.
She enjoyed crocheting, reading, country gospel music, flowers, and taught Sunday School for 15 years. Most of all, she enjoyed playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband Gary Myers; mother Mary Frances Martin, Bowling Green; daughter Shannon Myers, Clay City; sons Philip Myers and wife April, Clay City, Joseph "Joe" Myers, Terre Haute, and Grady Myers, Clay City; brothers Daniel Martin and wife Patti, Aurora, Colo., and John Martin, Bowling Green; sister Tressa Dyer and husband Mark, Clay City; grandchildren Ashleigh Myers Booe, Jayda Reed, Sabrina Baumgartner, Harley Stierwalt, Kevin Myers and fiancÚ Misty Schopmeyer, and Whitney Myers, all of Clay City; great-grandchildren Grant Bryar Booe, Clay City, Peyton Alexis Myers, many nieces and nephews and a large extended family.
She was preceded in death by her father Emerald J. Martin, brother Donald Martin, grandchildren Kaleb and Kayla Myers and nephew Dale Daniels.
Services will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Clay City Free Methodist Church, with visitation from 4-8 p.m. Friday in the Schoppenhorst Funeral Home and Saturday from 9 a.m. until services in the church.
Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude's Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
