The Northview volleyball team suffered its first defeat of the season in a conference doubleheader on Saturday afternoon.
The Knights earned a win in their first matchup of the day, taking a 25-13, 25-10, 25-17 decision over host Brown County, but then lost a tough game to Sullivan, 22-25, 25-12, 25-21, 17-25, 7-15.
On the afternoon, Lindsay Thomas had 44 assists with 12 service points and five aces to go along with seven blocks. Heather Palmer added 11 kills, Christy Fulk had 15 along with nine blocks and eight points. Lottie King chipped in with a 22 kill, 13 block and six point day with nine digs.
Kaley Huffman recorded six kills, three blocks and five digs with Brianne Arvin contributing 12 kills and four blocks. Kyler Clark had 17 points from the service line and Brittney Spugnardi had 16 points with two aces.
The JV team split a pair of matches, falling 21-25, 25-23, 13-15 game to Brown County before winning 25-20, 25-16 over Sullivan.
Olivia Kumpf had 20 points to lead the team with Ashley Hull adding 11, Cari Laue had nine, Emma Koehler eight, Nikki Mogan had seven and Mallory Heffner had six.
The varsity team (13-1, 1-1 WIC) will face West Vigo at home on Monday.
