Knights collar Bulldogs in volleyball

The Northview volleyball team won their 15th match of the season on Tuesday night, taking a three set road decision from Union, 25-15, 25-18, 25-21.

Kaley Huffman put together a 12 point night from the service line to go with four kills and three digs. Teammate Brittney Spugnardi added 10 points from the line and five digs for the Knights while Christy Fulk contributed seven points, six kills and three blocks.

Heather Palmer blocked five shots for Northview and had four kills and Brianne Arvin added nine kills in the win. Lottie King had 13 kills, three digs, four blocks and four service points with Kyler Clark chipping in five points. Kellsy Maurer added three digs in the victory that moves the Knights to 15-1 overall heading to a match on Saturday versus Crawfordsville beginning at 10 a.m.


The JV squad also was victorious, winning in three sets, 18-25, 25-24, 15-14 over the Bulldogs.

Olivia Kumpf had six points with an ace and 12 assists with a kill, Emma Koehler had 11 assists with two points, an ace and a kill. Cari Laue had 10 points for the Knights with three kills and Ashley Hull had 11 points, three aces and eight kills.

Nikki Mogan had a five point night and Hannah Emmert added four points, two aces and contributed five kills with Chelsea Mershon adding three blocks and three kills.
