Sheila Spencer and the Northview Knights fell short of Crawfordsville on Tuesday.

The Northview girls soccer team dropped a tough 3-1 decision to Crawfordsville on the road Tuesday night.

The Athenians got on the board twice in the first half, scoring at the 25 and 18 minute marks despite goal keeper Christina Arvin's 12 first half saves. Sage Graverson had four saves in the half and Tiffany Young added two for the Knights.

In the second half, Crawfordsville added a goal at the 29 minute mark. Jazmine Kellum, Graverson, Abby Birkey, Tara Crooks, Brittney Tucker, Kelsey Modesitt, Emma Reed and Kylee Thacker all had a steal.

Both Ashlee Woodcox and Jennifer Woodcox had two shots on goal.

Jennifer Woodcox would score the lone Northview goal on a double assist from Tylee Graverson and Christina Arvin at the 8:11 mark would get the Knights on the board.

Tara Crooks spent some time in goal for the Knights with four saves as Northview moves to 3-9-1 overall and 2-1 in the WIC with a game tonight at South Vermillion.
