The Northview girls volleyball team won a bit of a border war on Saturday afternoon, taking a three set match with visiting Apollo High School of Kentucky, 25-20, 25-17, 25-23.
The win over the No. 20 ranked E-Gals came in a bit of a family reunion as Northview's sophomore setter, Lindsay Thomas, got to face off with her cousin who is a hitter on Apollo's squad.
Lindsay will get the bragging rights at the family reunions for now as she compiled 32 assists and added seven service points and three digs for the Knights.
Kaley Huffman had a big game at the service line with 13 points and three aces to go with eight kills and four digs and Kyler Clark added six points and two aces. Christy Fulk had four points and added three kills andn three digs with Heather Palmer hammering home three kills.
Lottie King lead the team in kills with 15 and added five digs and four points. Brianne Arvin had two kills and three blocks and Brittney Spugnardi had three points with three digs.
The Knights are now 18-2 and will travel to Bloomfield for a Tuesday evening match.
