The Northview volleyball team went 3-1 in tournament play at Peru on Saturday.
The Knights defeated Indianapolis Arsenal Tech in the opening game by a 25-9, 25-17 score and then took down the host school by a 25-11, 25-11 count. They would go three sets with Indianapolis Chatard before falling 13-25, 25-22, 14-25 score. The Irish improved to 22-5 in the tournament. Northview rebounded to defeat Twin Lakes 25-16, 25-15 score.
Lindsay Thomas had 62 assists in the tourney to go with 30 points, 10 aces, five kills, nine digs and four blocks and Kaley Huffman had 18 points, six aces, 12 kills and 10 digs for the Knights.
Kyler Clark had 27 points with eight aces and Brittney Spugnardi added 22 points, four aces and eight digs. Christy Fulk contributed 15 points, 24 kills, six digs and four blocks while Lottie King put together 18 service points, 25 kills, six digs and nine blocks. Heather Palmer added eight kills and three assists and Brianne Arvin had 12 kills with five digs.
Northview improves to 23-3 overall and 2-1 in the WIC with a road game against South Putnam this evening and a visit to WIC foe Owen Valley on Wednesday.
