Travis Fields scored both goals for Northview in a win over T.H. North.
The Northview junior varsity soccer team won their first game of the season on Saturday by taking a 2-1 decision over Terre Haute North.
Travis Fields got the Knights off to a strong start midway through the first half when Ken Wright threw the ball deep from the sideline in to Colin Beckley who found a wide open Fields. He would put the shot away, left and past the keeper.
Later in the half, Steven Taylor sent a long ball to Fields who beat two defenders to give Northview a 2-0 lead at halftime.
The second half was much more balanced with the Knights getting a couple of close calls. Adam Piatt had the closest opportunity with North's keeper out of position, Piatt's shot was deflected but kept in play. North would get a late goal to end the scoring.
Cainan Reeves had 21 saves in net for the Knights and Colin Beckley, Cody Rose and Jacob Sharton each had six steals.
Northview will finish their season as part of a JV/Varsity doubleheader at Mooresville on Thursday evening.
