Knights get a handle on the Eagles in straight sets

The Northview volleyball team improved to 24-3 overall this season by defeating host South Putnam on Monday night, 25-8, 25-13, 25-15.

Lindsay Thomas had four kills along with 34 assists for the Knights and Christy Fulk lead the team with 12 kills and eight service points. Northview got seven points from Lottie King who also had 12 pionts and three aces. Brittney Spugnardi had five points in the victory. Kaley Huffman added four kills and had 10 points with Brianne Arvin contributing four kills. Kyler Clark added seven points.

The Knights will travel to Owen Valley on Wednesday to finish their conference schedule.


In the JV game, the Knights won 25-19, 25-8 as Nikki Mogan contributed 13 points and seven aces with Emma Koehler adding seven points and nine assists. Allie Melega had three kills and a block and Katie Timberman chipping in with five kills. Ashley Hull had four points along with Mallory Heffner and Cari Laue added a pair of aces with Chelsea Mershon adding four kills. Olivia Kumpf had two points, two aces and six assists.
