Knights handle Warriors

The Northview volleyball team earned themselves a road win over Danville on Monday evening, 21-25, 25-14, 25-18, 25-14.

Lindsay Thomas was a big contributor for the Knights, providing 44 assists in the game to go with six points. Her sets guided the way for a 19 kill effort from Lottie King and another nine from Kaley Huffman. Christy Fulk contributed another eight, Thomas had four and Brianne Arvin, Heather Palmer and Brittney Spugnardi all added two.

From the service line, Spugnardi had 11 with four aces and King added 10 points for the Knights. Kyler Clark added another seven with two aces and Fulk had five.

King lead the squad in digs with seven and Spugnardi added four with three from Huffman and another two from Clark. King and Fulk each had four blocks in the victory and Palmer added two.

The win sends Northview to a 26-3 mark overall with a match this evening against Riverton Parke.

In the junior varsity game, the Knights won 25-19, 25-20 with Nikki Mogan providing 10 points and four aces and Emma Koehler adding seven points, two aces and four assists.

Cari Laue had five points with three kills and Hannah Emmert added three points, all on aces and three kills. Katie Timberman also had three kills and added an assist. Olivia Kumpf had four aces from the Knights with Ali Melega providing two.
