The Northview boys basketball team opened practice on Monday evening with the beginning of tryouts at North Clay Junior High.

Numbers were strong for the Knights who are coming off a 14-10 slate and looking to get back to the top of the Western Indiana Conference after posting a disappointing 3-3 mark in the 2004 season.

The Knights will open their season on the road against Martinsville this season on November 26 and will once more take part in the Pizza Hut Wabash Valley Classic which runs from December 27 to 30.

Head Coach Mitch Lancaster will once more lead the squad and has posted a 56-18 mark at Northview and is 214-106 overall.

Joining his squad are coaches Scott Buell and Tony Trout and new to the staff this season will be former Northview standout Zack Keyes, a 1,000 point scorer for the Knights, who is a 2004 graduate of the school.
