The North Clay girls struggled to get into any sort of rhythm in Saturday's Western Indiana Conference tournament.
The eighth grade squad committed 29 turnovers in the game and missed 13 shots under the basket as Owen Valley downed the Knights 37-19.
The Patriots jumped out early in taking a 9-2 lead after one quarter and extended the advantage 20-9 at halftime. The Patriots put the game away with another 11 point period in the third quarter to finish off North Clay.
Emily Phillips had 10 points and eight rebounds to go with six steals in the loss. Shelby Sands also had eight boards for the Knights and Carlee Bell added four points and two steals.
North Clay drops to 9-3 overall this season and will take on travel to Rockville on Thursday at 6 p.m.
