North Clay sixth grader Alyssa Conrad recently won the Indiana State Elks Hoop Shoot Finals in Lebanon, Ind.
On Feb. 25, Conrad competed in the 10-11 year old age group and placed in the top spot which has qualified her for this Friday's Regional Semifinals at Rochester, MI.
In Michigan, Conrad will face the winner from Michigan and Ohio with the winner advancing on to Springfield, Mass., for the National Finals which will be held in April. By winning the State Finals, Conrad is now in the top-47 in the nation at free throw shooting which began with over three million competitors throughout the nation.
Conrad is no stranger to this success either. She made the National Finals in 2004 in the 8-9 year old age group and placed sixth in the nation.
