The Northview Knights returned from a tourney at the Legends Course on Saturday and picked a tri-meet victory at Clover Meadows by scoring 165 to the Clovers 171 followed by Shakamak at 209.
"I was pretty pleased with how we played," commented coach Scott Buell of his Knights. "Clover Meadows is a pretty tough place to play, Cloverdale always has a pretty good team."
On Monday however, Northview was just a bit better, getting dual 39's from senior Adam Thiemann and freshman Kade Baker.
Austin Akers added a 41 with Kyle Kumpf at 46 along with Josh Conway.
The JV team earned a win 184 to 201 over Cloverdale.
Matt Thompson was the medalist with a 44 followed by Jeremy Johnson at 46 and both Clint Grey and Pat Czizek at 47.
Northview hosts Owen Valley tonight at 4:30 p.m.
The visiting Shakamak Lakers ended a losing streak by parlaying Clay City's defensive miscues into a 12-2 five inning 10-run rule victory.
The Lakers used nine Clay City errors to pull away to the victory that dropped the Eels to 2-3 overall.
"You can't give a team like Shakamak five or six outs in an inning," said coach Ryan Swearingen. "Our pitching did a good job, but errors extended some of the innings. We definitely can't make that many errors."
Tim Shaw, Ryan Sutton and Ben Dickey had hits for the Eels.
Clay City 2-3 overall will host North Central tonight at 4:30 p.m.
Northview lost a tough 5-0 match to Terre Haute North on Monday evening.
The Patriots only dropped nine games and no sets as Terre Haute North won on the road.
The Knights travel to Rockville tonight at 5 p.m.
