Northview's golf team played one of their better dual match rounds of the season this year, but still couldn't pull off the victory against two of the state's toughest teams, Linton and Terre Haute South.
In fact, the Knights have a 6-3 mark now and all three losses are to those two schools.
On Monday at the Phil Harris Course in Linton, the host Miners got a school record tying nine hole score of four-under 31 to lead the way to a 140 to 145 win over South as Northview as third at 149.
Terre Haute South was paced by Travis Smith who shot a one-under 34.
Northview was led by Adam Thiemann and Kyle Kumpf who each had a 36 followed by Austin Akers who carded a 37 and both Kade Baker and Byron Felchlia each shot a 40. Josh Conway had a 47.
Linton improves to 10-1 this season followed by the Braves mark of 6-0 overall.
Northview will host South Vermillion on Thursday night.
