Kylee Thacker was seventh in the 800 meters for Northview.

Northview's golf team dropped a 148 to 153 decision at Cascades Golf Course against Bloomington North on Thursday night despite placing all five scorers in the 30's.

The Knights got a round of 37 from Kade Baker to lead the squad while Adam Thiemann shot a 38. Both Kyle Kumpf and Austin Akers carded a 39 along with Josh Conway and Matt Williams shot a 40 to round out the varsity scores.

"We actually played pretty well tonight," commented coach Scott Buell of his club who prepares his team for the Western Indiana Conference meet on Saturday. "We got five scores in the 30s, hopefully this will give us a little confidence heading into the weekend."

Northview's JV lost a narrow decision as well, falling by 10 strokes to the Panthers, 171 to 181.

Clint Grey led Northview with a round of 41.

The Knights will play a full 18 holes in the WIC Tourney played at Rea Park on Saturday. The tourney begins at 10 a.m.
