Wayne Newton Post 346 scored three runs in the top of the eighth inning to win the Terre Haute Invitational on Sunday, going a perfect 5-0 throughout the four day tourney.
The squad defeated Madison 9-6 to take the title getting a pair of sacrifices from Northview grad John Reberger in the championship.
2005 graduate Brady Shoemaker continued his power surge over the weekend by homering several times over the weekend. Shoemaker has eight homeruns this summer for the legion team that is now 11-1 this season and will face LaGrange and Crawfordsville tonight and Wednesday before traveling to Columbia, TN for a 16-team interstate series over the weekend.
