Eels clip eagles in four games

The Clay City volleyball team ran their season mark to 2-0 with a four set victory over South Putnam on Thursday night, winning 25-23, 25-22, 18-25, 26-24.

The Eels were led by nine service points and 26 assists from Courtney Dayhuff and a 20 kill, seven point, two ace and two block evening from Ashley McCullough.

Sarah Kennedy added 10 points and 10 kills for the Eels and Angie Camp contributed six kills and a block versus the Eagles. Chelsee Gerber chipped in with 17 assists and four kills for Clay City who will be back in action at Cloverdale on Tuesday evening.

The Eels JV were also victorious, winning in two games over South Putnam.
