Ken Wright (#21) and the Northview Knights defeated Terre Haute South on Tuesday night.
Northview finished off a sweep of Vigo County on Tuesday night by blanking Terre Haute South in boys soccer, 2-0.
The game was scoreless with 15 minutes remaining in the first half when threatening weather postponed action for about 30 minutes.
On the restart, the Knights came out focused and determined on the task at hand.
John Latta had an offensive shot five minutes after the restart, but was redirected in the box and was taken down, drawing a penalty kick.
Shaun Hardey would send home the kick for a 1-0 advantage over the Braves.
Northview would add to their lead when a Latta shot was bobbled by South's keeper, Lucas Boyd followed the shot and gave the Knights a 2-0 lead they wouldn't relinquish.
"It's important to set the tone for the sectional," commented coach Todd LaComba. "These guys have regained their hunger for the win."
Taylor Montague made 12 saves in net for the Knights who are now 4-5 overall and will travel to Greencastle on Saturday for a 12:30 p.m. game.
