Hazel Marie Bryant, 70, a resident of Clay City for the past seven years and formerly of Indianapolis, died at 1:06 a.m. Sunday, May 18, 2003.

She was born in Lyons, Ind., on Sept. 8, 1932. She was the daughter of Onnie and Nora A. Biddle Spice, who preceded her in death.

She married Dwight "Moe" E. Bryant in Linton, Ind., on March 5, 1949. He preceded her in death July 8, 2000.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed her flowers and playing Bingo.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Jean Harris and Violet Hamilton, and two brothers, Paul Spice and Ray Spice.

Surviving are two daughters, Donna Whitlow of Clay City and Paula Knoop and husband Gary of Grayston, Ga.; three grandchildren, Ted, Heather and Shane Westoff of Clay City, and five great-grandchildren.

There are no visitation hours or services. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Wabash Valley, 600 S. 1st St., Terre Haute, IN 47807. Arrangements are being handled by Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, Clay City.
