Vera L. Lentz, 76, of Coal City, died at 7:55 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2003, at Bloomington Hospital.
Born in Owen County on Aug. 6, 1926, she was the daughter of Franklin B. and Alta P. Hacker Williams who have preceded her in death.
A graduate of Patricksburg High School, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting and was an avid reader. She retired from General Electric in Linton, Ind.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Lentz, and a brother, William Williams.
Surviving are a stepdaughter, Janet Manning of Niceville, Fla.; a stepson, Robert Lentz of New Jersey; three sisters, Dorothy Lee of Worthington, Ind., Mary Doyle of Patricksburg, Ind., and Ruby Godsey of Bloomington, Ind.; a brother, Wayne Williams of Jasonville, Ind., and other extended family members.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, Clay City. Visitation is from noon to time of service at the funeral home. The service will be at the funeral home with the Rev. Melvin Camp officiating. Burial will follow in Patricksburg Christian Cemetery.
