Mabel M. Gray, 102, of Reelsville, Ind., died Monday, May 26, 2003, at the Cloverdale Convalescent & Rehab Center, Cloverdale, Ind.

She was born June 13, 1900, in Westfield, Ind. She was the daughter of Samuel Hines and Arrie Dye Hines.

She married Louis G. Gray on Feb. 25, 1920. He preceded her in death on Feb. 28, 1992.

She was a housewife and a member of Big Walnut Baptist Church in Reelsville, Ind.

Survivors are two daughters, Delpha Oliver of Bloomington, Ind., and Nellie Fox and husband George of Reelsville; three sons, Alfred Gray and wife Waneta of Greencastle, Ind., Richard "Bud" Gray and wife Donna of Greencastle and Robert Gray and wife Carol of Cloverdale; 23 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Sylvia Gray; two son, Carl Nathan "Jack" Gray and Samuel Gray; one brother, Fred Hines; two grandsons; one great-grandchild and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday at 8 p.m. at Whitaker Funeral Home in Cloverdale with the Rev. John C. Parsley officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to time of service. There will also be graveside services at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Summit Lawn Cemetery in Westfield.
