Iva Irene Addy, 98, of Harmony, died at 6:36 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2003, at her residence.

She was born March 10, 1905, in Owen County, the daughter of Crawford Porter and Sara Elizabeth Kitch Tuggle, who preceded her in death.

On April 3, 1926, she married Elza Roy Addy in Spencer, Ind. He preceded her in death on Aug. 18, 1977.

She and her husband were custodians for many years at the First United Methodist Church in Brazil. She was a member of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening.

She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, James Delbert Felty.

Surviving are one daughter, Marie Felty of Harmony; six grandchildren, Juel Butt and husband John of Terre Haute, Brenda Felty of Brazil, Richard Felty of Brazil, Carolyn Bayer of Harmony, Penny Felty of Brazil and James Felty of Brazil; six great-grandchildren, Irlene Bayer, Cody Felty, Kyle Felty, Majenta Brankey, John Phillip Butt and Ryan Michael, and several other extended family members.

Graveside services were at 11:30 a.m. today at Swalley Cemetery, Bowling Green, with the Rev. David Hoskins officiating. Visitation was from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Lawson-Slack Funeral Home.
