Louise W. Trout, 97, of Brazil, died Wednesday, June 4, 2003, at 1:26 a.m. at Cloverleaf Healthcare Facility.
She was born Feb. 20, 1906, in Clay County, the daughter of George and Elizabeth Miller Steinsberger.
She was the wife of John R. Trout. He preceded her in death May 3, 1992.
As a young woman she worked in the Cigar Factory in Brazil. She was also a seamstress.
She was a member of the Berea Christian Church.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, George William Trout, infancy; three brothers, Fred Steinsberger, Carl Steinsberger and Bill Steinsberger; and two sisters, Anna Orman and Elizabeth Swinehart.
She is survived by one daughter, Maryann Reed and husband Garnet of Brazil; one granddaughter, Alicia Reed-Thomas and husband Scot of Clay City; one grandson, Alan Reed of Terre Haute; one great-grandson, Logan Thomas; one great-granddaughter, Lauren Thomas; one sister, Thelma Miller of Greencastle, and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at French Funeral Home with the Rev. Jonathan Ingram officiating. Music selections will be provided by Steve McCullough. Burial will follow at Summit Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. and again Friday prior to services.
