Dorothy King Butler, 83, of Indianapolis, formerly of Brazil, died Saturday, June 7, 2003, at Kindred Hospital in Greenwood.
She was born May 14, 1920, in Terre Haute, the daughter of Jackson and Elizabeth Dean Ricketts.
She was married to Jim Butler, who preceded her in death.
She was the owner and operator of several businesses on the south side of Indianapolis.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Terry King.
She is survived by three sons, Herman Phelps of Indianapolis, Thomas King of Cincinnati and Jerry King.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at G.H. Herrmann Funeral Home, S. East St., Indianapolis. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Concordia Cemetery.
