Suzann P. Messmer Schiewer, 51, of New Palestine, Ind. died Sunday, June 8, 2003 at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove.
Born September 9, 1951 in Huntingburg, Ind., she was the daughter of Clem and Viola (Woerter) Messmer.
She graduated from Huntingburg High School in 1969 and earned a Bachelors Degree in mathematics education from Indiana State University in 1973 and a Masters of Education from ISU in 1975.
She married Michael Schiewer June 7, 1975.
Shiewer was a systems analyst for American United Life for the past seven years. She was an Associate Actuary of the Society of Life and a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Greenfield.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clem Messmer.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Scheiwer; a daughter, Kathy Schiewer; a son, Kevin Schiewer, all of New Palestine; her mother, Viola Messmer, of Huntingburg; three brothers, Paul R. Messmer and Bernard Messmer, both of Jasper, Ind. and Steven Messmer, of Brazil; her sister, Patricia Seckinger, of St. Meinrad, Ind.; and several neices and nephews.
Funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Greenfield with Father Severin Messick officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4 until 8 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield with Rosary services at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery in Indianapolis.
