Lucille Woodruff, 80, formerly of Clay City and living with her son in Lyons, Colo., died at 6 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2003.

She was born Sept. 18, 1922, in Patricksburg, the daughter of John and Faye Ellington Gilson, who preceded her in death.

She graduated from Clay City High School. She married Courtland D. "Junior" Woodruff on June 15, 1942. He preceded her in death in 1981.

She was a homemaker and she worked for Gilson-Woodruff Lumber Co. in Clay City for many years.

Survivors include one son, Mike Woodruff and wife Marilyn of Lyons, and two grandsons, Brad Woodruff of Ft. Collins, Colo., and Matt Woodruff of Boston, Mass.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, Clay City, with burial at Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
