Rosemary Weaver, 92, of Brazil, died Feb. 24, 2003, at Cloverleaf Healthcare Facility, where she had been a resident there for several years.
She was born June 19, 1910, in Clay County, the daughter of August and Nellie Adams Leins. She graduated from Brazil High School, Class of 1929.
She was married to Gayle Willima Weaver, who preceded her in death.
She was a member of the former St. Paul Lutheran Church and of the Eastern Star.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter-in-law, Marcella Weaver; three sisters, Louise Allen, Nellie Ruth Bayse and Josephine Leins, and a brother, James Leins.
She is survived by her son, Gale James Weaver of Brazil; three granddaughters and their husbands, Kathleen and Mike Gibson of Greencastle, Melanie and J. Curt Walker of Brazil and Carolyn and David Marlow of Blufton; five great-grandchildren, Erin Gibson, Emily Hill and husband Matt, Holly Lee and husband Ryan, C. Eric Walker and Michael Marlow and wife Sara; three brothers and one sister, John Leins and wife Anita, Claudia Miller and Frederick Leins, all of California, and Richard Leins of Memphis, Tenn.; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for burial of her ashes will take place Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Clearview Cemetery with the Rev. Alan Barber officiating. French Funeral Home assisted with arrangements. Light a candle in her memory at www.frenchfuneralhome.com.
