Kathryn M. Thompson, 77, of Rockville, died at 9:20 a.m. Friday, June 13, 2003, in her residence.
She was born Dec. 11, 1925, in Reelsville, the daughter of Henry W. Albright and Wanita Alexander Albright, who preceded her in death.
She married Jay Thompson on June 20, 1948, and he preceded her in death on April 16, 1981.
She was a retired nurse and a member of the Nightengale Club. She attended Epworth United Methodist Church in Brazil and the Bridgeton United Methodist Church. She was a 50-year member of the Knightsville Eastern Star. She was also a member of the Raccoon Township Home Ec Club.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, William Jay and Cheryl Thompson and James and Sandra Thompson of Rockville; granddaughter, Jayanna Thompson; grandson and wife, Travis and Jenny Vauters; granddaughter, Christine Bowman; two great-grandchildren, Tayler and Cody Vauters; a sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Gene West, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be today in Butler Funeral Home, Rockville, from 4 to 6 p.m. Cremation is scheduled. A private memorial service will be held later. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Kidney Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
