Dorothy L. Smith, 69, of Springfield, Ill., died Friday, June 20, 2003, at St. John's Hospital.
She was born Sept. 20, 1933, in Clay City, the daughter of Alva and Gladys Light Crouse.
She was a homemaker and worked as a hostess for Hardee's, retiring in 1993.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Mary Lou Light and Martha Elizabeth Crouse.
Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Jones and husband Mike of Springfield and Rhonda Moore and husband Luke of Paducah, Ky.; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; five brothers, Austin Crouse and wife Vera of Indiana, Hubert Crouse and wife Norma of Indiana, Ray Crouse and wife Rosemary of Nebraska, Don Crouse and wife Jerry of Indiana and Carl Crouse and wife Mary Kay of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Maple Grove Cemetery in Clay City with the Rev. Ray Crouse officiating. Bisch & Son Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Senior Center of Illinois.
