Carol Ann Nicely, 56, of Indianapolis and formerly of Lebanon, died Sunday, June 29, 2003, at 2:40 p.m. at Community Hospital East in Indianapolis, due to complications of diabetes.
She was born in Brazil on Sept. 20, 1946. She was the daughter of John Edward and Carol Jean Eberle Muncie, who preceded her in death.
She was married to David L. Nicely on Jan. 7, 1967, in Lebanon. She lived most of her life in Lebanon and also resided in Elkhart and Indianapolis.
She worked as an assistant manager for McDonald's in Elkhart for 12 years. In Indianapolis, she worked for seven years at Meijer Supermarkets and the last four years as the assistant manager in the deli at Marsh Supermarkets.
She was a member of Traders Point Christian Church in Indianapolis and enjoyed traveling.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, David Lee Nicely and wife Kimberly of Indianapolis and James Lee Nicely and wife Heather of Elkhart; two brothers, Edward E. Muncie and wife Sue of Lebanon and John D. Muncie and wife Sue of Indianapolis; two grandchildren, Ambrosia N. Nicely and Conner A. Nicely; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Brenda S. Large, and one brother, Robert W. Muncie.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon, Ind. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Myers Mortuary. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lebanon.
