Mary Frances Turner, 89, Brazil, died at 4:10 p.m. Thursday, July 3, 2003, in Cloverleaf Healthcare in Knightsville where she had been a patient since Feb. 20, 2003.
She was born in Clay County on June 23, 1914, the daughter of Elmer Lawson and Margaret Condron Lawson. She was a resident of Clay County all her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilmer "Sport" Turner, who died in 1982; one daughter and son-in-law, Margaret "Meg" Herron and Milton Herron; six brothers; one sister and recently a granddaughter, Andrea Clark.
Surviving are two daughters and their husbands, Myla and Bert Geswein and Diana and Ron Terhune, all of Brazil; 13 grandchildren, Charles Geswein and wife Karen, Jerry Geswein, Cynthis Rodman and husband Mike, Linda Minger, Jan Keltz and husband Bill, Leann Marin and husband Randy, Kim Rudolph and husband Don, Stacy Latham and husband Brad, Mark Workman and wife Marla, Nick Workman and wife Peggy, Chris Herron and wife Ivy, Milton Herron II and wife Lisa and Shannon McCoy and husband Doug; 28 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services were Sunday at 2 p.m. in Miller Memorial Chapel. The Rev. William L. Price officiated and interment was in Summit Lawn Cemetery. Visitation was from noon Sunday until time of service.
