Bernard "Bernie" G. Cook Sr., 67, of Indianapolis died Saturday, July 12, 2003, at his residence.
Born Oct. 14, 1935, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Charles and Margaret Gant Cook. He married Nancy Kephart on June 30, 1955. She survives.
He was employed for several years by Navistar, working in the foundry, retiring in 1989. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 274 of Brazil.
Survivors include three sons, Bernard Cook Jr. and Rhonda of Brazil; Mark Cook of Gas City, Ind., Curtis Cook and Jody of Indianapolis; a daughter, Robin Wright of Charlotte, N.C.; two sisters, Anne Lewis and Irma Lewis, both of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren, Brandy Cook, Tiffany Keith, Morgan Cook, Zachary Cook, Heather Wright, Christopher Wright and Tyler Cook; and a great-granddaughter, Aliyah Wright.
A service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Forest Lawn Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Home, S.R. 135 Chapel. Friends may call 3-8 p.m. today in the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
