June Claudette Tisdale, 55, of Terre Haute, formerly of Brazil, died at 8:46 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2003, in Union Hospital.
Born June 2, 1948, in Harvey, Ill., she was the daughter of Claude Allen Tisdale and Mary Leona Jones Tisdale.
She earned a degree in Photography from Ivy Tech, Terre Haute, and enjoyed taking pictures as well as reading and following "Star Trek". She was formerly a radio dispatcher for the Harvey, Ill., Police Department and for the Clay County Sheriff's Department. She also worked as a nurse's aide at the former Hardy's Nursing Home in Knightsville.
She resided in Brazil for many years before moving to Clinton, Ind., to care for her father. She then moved to Terre Haute.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Billie Joan Tisdale Winn on June 23; and a brother-in-law, Kedrick Gail Winn.
Survivors include four brothers and their wives, Doug and Roxanna Tisdale and Charles and Janette Tisdale, all of Brazil; Martin and Carolyn Tisdale of Greencastle; Claude and Maryann Tisdale, of Chicago; four sisters and their husbands, Marilyn and Robert Helton of Brazil, Kathy and Timothy Muston, Jean and Mickey Moody and Mary and Robert Atkeson, all of Terre Haute; numerous nieces; nephews; great-nieces; and great-nephews.
Friends may call 9-11 a.m. Thursday at Moore Funeral Home. There will be no funeral services. At the request of the deceased, her body will be cremated.
