Kellyn Renee Andrews, 17, of Brazil, died Aug. 6, 2003, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born Dec. 19, 1985, in Terre Haute, she was the daughter of Dale and Robin Deardorff Andrews.

She was entering her senior year at Northview High School where she had been an active student. Her many activities included the student council, photography editor for the yearbook, class president and homecoming court member her sophomore year and playing clarinet three years for the Northview Marching Knights.

Her love of sports came in the form of soccer. She excelled, making the all-conference team in the WIC. She also played on the Terre Haute Flyers soccer travel team. She was a member of the National Honor Society.

Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Robin Andrews and Kendel Utter of Brazil; father and stepmother, Dale and Cindy Andrews of Terre Haute; a sister, Amy Phillips of Indianapolis; three brothers, Jacob Andrews and Trever Fehrenbach of Brazil and Chad Andrews of Terre Haute; a stepbrother, James Wallace of Terre Haute; a grandmother, June Andrews of Terre Haute; two aunts, Renee Frazier and her husband Russ, Marilyn Hoffman and husband Ronnie; three uncles, Ron Timberman and wife Sandy, Jim Andrews and wife Marcie and Ron Deardorff; two nieces, Kailynn Phillips and Chloe Phillips; and a nephew, Kyler Wallace.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lillian Deardorff and Paul Deardorff; James Andrews; and a stepgrandmother Jean Deardorff.

A celebration of Kellyn's life will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Northview High School auditorium. Bob Medworth will be the speaker. Music will be provided by Steve McCullough.

Visitation will be Friday at French Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the Northview High School auditorium.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Clay County YMCA in Kellyn's memory.
