Annie Clark, 95, of Saline City, died Thursday, August 7, 2003, at 5:45 p.m. at St. Vincent Clay Hospital.
She was born on Nov. 30, 1907, in Lancashire, England, the daughter of James and Mary Jane Williams Bentley. On Aug. 24, 1945, she married Charles Clark.
She was a member of The New Jerusalem Church in Kearsley, England, Saline City United Methodist Church, and the Rebeka Lodge. She retired as a housekeeper from Clay County Hospital in 1971.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons-in-law, Bill Thurmon and Jim Ciaccia; two brothers, James and David Bentley; one half-sister, Harriet, and one half brother, Jackie.
Surviving are her two daughters, Hilary Thurmond of Mooresville, Ind., and Edye Ciaccia of Atlanta, Ga.; three grandchildren, Bill Thurmond, Jim Thurmond and Scott Ciaccia; and four great-grandchildre, Taylor, Devin and Ethan Thurmond and Gillian Ciaccia.
Graveside memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Maple Grove Cemetery, Clay City, with the Rev. Ray Deeter officiating. At her request, she will be cremated. There are no calling hours.
