Clovis D. "Pee Wee" Klass, 68, of Saline City, died at 10:20 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2003, at Cloverleaf Healthcare Center in Knightsville.

Born April 14, 1935, in Owen County, he was the son of Earl T. and Lucy Bouriff Klass, who have preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca F. Null, whom he married in Marshall, Ill., on Aug. 3, 1968.

He was a mechanic all his life and was supervisor of the Brazil Water Treatment Plant for 17 years. He loved being outdoors.

He served in the Navy from 1952 to 1956 aboard the U.S.S. Bremington.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, an infant and Donald Klass; and a nephew, Mark Klass.

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca F. Klass; two daughters, Debbie Mendenhall and husband Tim and Edith Shepherd and husband Arthur; three sons, Bill Gray, Bill Klass and wife Becky and Dean Klass and wife Cheryl; a daughter-in-law, Jerri Lynn Eder; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a nephew, Gary Klass; a great-nephew, Marcus Klass; two aunts; and several cousins.

Services will at 1 p.m. Saturday at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, Clay City, with Pastor Tom Roeschlein officiating. Burial will be in Sink Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. until service time.
