Genevieve B. Minnick, 89, of Brazil, died at 6:20 p.m. Saturday, Aug., 30, 2003, at Cloverleaf Healthcare of Knightsville.
She was born on May 15, 1914, in Brazil, the daughter of Edward and Flossie Farris Dixon who have preceded her in death.
A 1933 graduate of Brazil High School, she married Morris Minnick on Nov. 7, 1936. He preceded her in death on Nov. 9, 1978.
A homemaker, she was a member of the First Christian Church and the Daughters of Ruth. She was very fond of children, caring for many over the years. She enjoyed reading, making pillow tops, embroidery and working in her yard.
She was also preceded in death by one sister, Edna Dixon. She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn and husband George Erwin of Brazil, one son, Tommy and wife Joann Minnick of South Aiken, S.C., five grandchildren, Brandee, Brian, Robert, Kristen and Michelle, 13 great-grandchildren, one brother, Carl and wife Martha Dixon of Brownsburg, Ind., and several other extended family members.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2003, at Lawson-Slack Funeral Home, Brazil, Ind., with Pastor Greg Comp officiating and burial at Bee Ridge Cemetery.
