William M. Edwards, 80, of Bradenton, Fla., died Saturday, Sept. 7, 2003, at his residence.
Born June 5, 1923, in Brazil, he moved to Manatee County, Fla., in 1981. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a retired heavy equipment operator for IUOE Local 841 in Terre Haute and a member of Westside Christian Church in Bradenton. Other memberships included Masonic Lodge 409, F&AM of Knightsville and Scottish Rite of the Wabash Valley, Terre Haute.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Edwards; two daughters, Sonnie Moore of Louisville, Ky., and Connie Henning of Bradenton, Fla.; a son, Steve Reynolds of Brazil; a brother, George T. Edwards of Brazil; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled 11 a.m. Wednesday at Westside Christian Church, Bradenton, Fla., with the Rev. Gary Johnson and the Rev. Bruce Petty officiating. Internment with Military Honors will be later in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla.There will be no visitation.
