Pastor Fred L. Snow, 72, of Peru, Ind., died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2003, at 3:51 a.m. at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born in Vigo County on July 10, 1931, the son of Edward R. Snow and Hazel Smith Snow, who preceded him in death. He married Patricia Neese on March 25, 1951; she survives.
He served four months in the U.S. Army before receiving a medical discharge. He retired after 40 years as a minister and evangelist.
He enjoyed fishing and all kinds of sports.
Other survivors include his daughter, Dorene Bontrager and husband Pastor Ron of Indianapolis; three sons, Marvin Lee Snow and wife Nancy of Mexico, Ind., E. Dion Snow and wife Evelyn of Peru, and Fred L. Snow of Brazil; eight grandchildren, Marla, Joshua, Dion, Ryan, Desiree, Drew, Kyle and Mike Clark; five great-grandchildren, Abran, Cale, Bryana, Kierstin and Devyn; three brothers, Ray Snow and wife Faye of Normal, Ill., Don Snow and wife Carolyn of Terre Haute and Dick Snow and wife Maggie of Florida; two sisters, Virginia Doolittle and husband Wayne of Terre Haute and Nancy Durr and husband Bob of Terre Haute; and one sister-in-law, Rose Snow of Terre Haute.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Larry.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Calvary Temple Assembly Church, 2908 W. and 200 N., Peru, with Pastor Ron Bontrager officiating. Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park Cemetery in Cass County. Friends may call at the church today from 2 to 8 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Calvary Temple Church for the Acres of Praise Project Fund.
