Charlotte L. Peters, 85, of Brazil, died Oct. 12, 2003, at her son's residence.
Born Aug. 4, 1918, in Terre Haute, she was the daughter of Louis and Freida Stickson Moody.
She attended Gerstmeyer High School.
On Jan. 15, 1944, she married Charles A. Peters. He preceded her in death in 1993.
She was a waitress for several years at the Bramble Bush in Terre Haute and at Morgan and Kings Tavern.
She was a devoted Cubs fan, enjoyed playing euchre and fishing.
Survivors include her children, Myrna Bramble of Terre Haute and Randy Peters and his wife, Barbara, of Brazil; grandchildren, Paula Brockman, Harold Wright Jr., Linda Wright, Allie Peters, Kelly Peters and Christy Polmeroy; step-grandchildren, Cindy Haverkorn, Sandi Diaz, and Linda Mettalka, all of Wisconsin; nine great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; sisters Florence Larnet of Brazil, Mary Jo Johnson of Terre Haute, Ruth Munday of Alton, Ill., Helen Abner of Ohio, Alice Alexander of Evansville; sisters-in-law, Sarah Mae Moody of Alabama, Clara Moody of Tennessee and Winnie Payne of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a stepson, Robert Peters; a step-daughter, Peggy LaFontain; brothers, Louis Moody, James Moody, Russell Moody, Robert Moody and Ed Payne; a sister, Ernestine Robinson.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. in French Funeral Home with Father Rob Hausladen officiating. Burial will follow in Clearview Cemetery. Visitation will be today, 4-8 p.m., and again Wednesday, one hour prior to services.
