Magaret Virostek, 77, of Westville, Ill. and formerly of Cayuga, Ind., died at 7:15 p.m., Monday, Oct. 13, 2003 at the Waters of Covington in Covington, Ind.
She was born Dec. 17, 1925 in Clinton, Ind., to Arthur and Mable Hunt Kesner.
She graduated from Cayuga High School in 1943. She was employed and retired from General Electric in Danville, Ill.
She married Thomas J. "Tom" Virostek on July 1, 1972. He preceded her in death in March of 2002.
She attended the Southside Church of the Nazarene. Her hobbies were crocheting and knitting, but most of all she enjoyed fishing.
Margaret's three children are Dale West and Wife Judy, of Brazil, Charlene Dunham and husband Dave of Cayuga, Ind., and Freda Switzer and husband John of Cayuga, Ind. Her grandchildren are: David West, Tammi Reynolds, Dirk Switzer, Jay Switzer, Tanya Gaskill and Dustin Dunham. Great grandchildren are: Bryant West, Jordan Gaskill, Cole West, Garret Reynolds, Alexandria Gaskill, Jaren West, Wyatt Reynolds and Kameran Gaskill. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews, and a special niece, Cathy Morgan of Covington, Ind. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, and two brothers.
Services are at 2 p.m. today at DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home in Cayuga, Ind. Rev. J. Sorrell will officiate. Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery in Georgetown, Ill. Visitation is from 10 a.m. today to time of services at the funeral home.
