Hazel Lucille McMillin, 89, of Terre Haute, died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2003, at her home.

She was born Oct. 19, 1914, to Russell and Helen Grammer in Riley, Ind.

She was a homemaker and was a member of Vigo County Conservation Club, Stop 16 Saddle Club, Pony Express Club. She was a 4-H adult leader, a lunchroom lady at Maple Avenue School and a school crossing guard.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth Edgar, in 1988; and her sister and brother-in-law, Avis and Max Waugh.

She is survived by her daughter, Wannita Louise McMillin-Brownson of Terre Haute; her son Kenneth and wife Sandra McMillin of Brazil; five grandchildren, Robert and wife Donnetta Brownson Jr. and Kenny Brownson, all of Terre Haute, Bonnie Proshuto and husband Eric of Rosedale, Kenny Tod and wife Angie McMillin of Brazil and Lori and husband Britt Petty of Puerto Rico; 10 great-grandchildren, Robert "B.J." Joseph Brownson III and his friend Becka, Brian Brownson and his friend Renee, regina Brownson, Tara McMillin, Nathan McMillin, Dustin Proshuto, Kendra Shaw, Andrew Proshuto, Ellese, Jessie and Cade Petty; one great-great-grandson, Chandler Brownson; two sisters, Lil and husband Guido Borgnini and Betty and husband Frank Chaney; one brother, Russel and wife Mae Grammer; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, 2200 N. 13th St., with burial in Markle Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
