Gordon Thomas Love, 65, of Frankfort, Ind., died at 5:30 a.m., Friday, Oct. 25, 2003, at Home Hospital in Lafayette.
Born April 25, 1938, in Thorntown, Ind., he was the son of Thomas and Delores Mainard Love who preceded him in death.
He was a 1956 graduate of Van Buren High School. He joined the United States Marine Corps in 1958 and was honorably discharged in 1962. His ties to Clay County were always important to him and he highly enjoyed visits with family and friends. He enjoyed being outdoors and working with his hands.
On Dec. 23, 1967, he married Carol Sutton who survives.
He is also survived by a son; Steve Warford of Alaska; two daughters, Jamie Bard of Auburn and Kristie Love of Frankfort; a granddaughter; Chloe Bard; a brother, Jan Love of Indianapolis; two sisters; Nina Celt, of Bay City, Wis., and Mary Hyatt, of Center Point; several nieces; nephews; aunts; and uncles.
Services are at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, at Greenlawn Chapel in Frankfort. Friends and family may call from 10:30 a.m. until the service begins.
