Dorothy Easter Carroll, 83, of Terre Haute, died at 4:40 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003, at Union Hospital.
She was born March 21, 1920, in Terre Haute, to Clifford and Rose Dowden Easter. She grew up in Saline City and attended Ashboro High School.
She retired from Columbia Record, having worked there 27 years. She lived in Shady Oak Apartments until two years ago when she moved to her daughter Dee's house.
She was a member of Maryland Community Church; however, ill health limited her attendance.
Survivors include her daughter Linda Goy and husband Paul of Wolcott, Ind.; daughter, Dee Collins and husband Bob of Terre Haute; son, Don Carroll and wife Sandy of Portland, Tenn.; son, Randy Carroll and wife Jann of Terre Haute; two sisters, Ilene McCollister of Brazil and Rose Marie Thomas of Waveland, Ind.; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Ione Branson; and one grandson, David Goy.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Thomas Funeral Home, 2200 N. 13th St., Terre Haute. Visitation is today from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will take place at Highland Lawn Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the David A. Goy Memorial Fund, which supports a school built in his honor in Haiti. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
