Opal F. Cooper Huff Maxwell, 80, of Terre Haute, died Thursday, Oct. 30, 2003, at Harborside Health Care.

Born Oct. 22, 1923, in Vigo County, she was the daughter of Willis A. and Gladys McFadden Cooper.

She was an avid gardener and loved flowers. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.

Survivors include a daughter, Jan Frazier and husband, Mark, of Brazil; a son, Mark; five grandchildren, Angela Haynie and Sara Frazier, both of Brazil, Cody J. Huff of St. Bernice; Mark A. Huff II and Zachary Huff, both of Clinton; two great-granddaughters, Angel Jade Haynie and Olivia Rose Haynie, both of Brazil; two sisters, Vernis Vermillion of West Terre Haute and Lucille Niece of Terre Haute; two brothers, Gene Cooper of Prairieton and Benny Cooper of Terre Haute; several nieces; and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Paul W. Huff, July 7, 1965, her second husband, Everett W. Maxwell, Oct. 9, 1999; her son, Jay W. Huff; her granddaughter, Lindsey Rose Huff; two brothers, Donald Cooper and Paul Cooper; and a sister, Freda Willman.

Funeral services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Roselawn Funeral Home, 7500 N. Clinton St., Terre Haute.

Visitation is today, 4-8 p.m. Burial will take place at Roselawn Memorial Park.

Donations may be made to Vista Care Hospice. Envelopes will be available in the funeral home.
