Ernest Hubert Leach, 80, of Terre Haute, died Friday, Oct. 31, 2003, in his residence.

Born Jan. 6, 1923, in Terre Haute, he was the son of Ernest Hobart and Laura Josephine Graves Leach.

He married Virginia Mae Kimmerle-Hyde on Sept. 11, 1943.

Survivors include three daughters, Mary Tryon and husband, Bob, of Brookston, Ind., Virginia Swearingen and husband, Larry, of Brazil and Middie Kerins of Fontana, Calif; four grandsons, Chad Tryon, Shawn Swearingen, Scott Swearingen and John Ray Kerins II and wife, Kim; a granddaughter, Laura Swearingen; six great-grandchildren, Desarae Kerins, Stacia Kerins; Justin Kerins, Jordan Kerins, Austin Westfall and Seth Westfall; two sisters, Beverly Egnew of Linton, Ind., and Kathryn Rogers of Terre Haute; a brother, Howard Joseph Leach, of Terre Haute; several nieces; and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, on May 4, 1987; two sisters, Mildred Leach and Barbara Leach; and a brother, Vernon Ray Leach.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Roselawn funeral Home with the Rev. Ernie Rush officiating. Pallbearers will be Chad Tryon, Shawn Swearingen, Scott Swearingen, John Ray Kerins II, Mike Nussel and Steve Nussel.

Visitation will be Monday, 4-8 p.m. and burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
