Ramona J. Dellacca Gammon, 64, Indianapolis, formerly of Dick Johnson Township, died at 4:19 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2003, in Wishard Memorial Hospital in Indianapolis. She had been in ill health.
Born in Dick Johnson Township on Nov. 30, 1938, she was a daughter of Pete and Thelma W. Bridgewater Dellacca. She grew up in the Fairview community. She was a graduate of Brazil High School.
She attended secretarial school in Terre Haute and had worked in that capacity for the former Arketex Ceramic Corporation. She moved to Indianapolis in 1958 and had been employed there as a secretary for Melvin Simon and Associates.
She was a member of the Rio Grande Church of Christ and attended the High School Road Church of Christ in Indianapolis. She also was a member of the Indianapolis Art League.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Robert Gammon, who died in 2001, and her father who preceded her in 1978.
Surviving are her mother of rural Brazil; one step-son and wife, Jeff and Pam Gammon, Villa Grove, Ill.; one brother and his wife, Richard Lee and Geri Dellacca, Belgrade, Mont.; one sister and her husband, Karen and John Moser, Waveland; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Miller Memorial Chapel. Bro. Richard Piatt will officiate. Interment will be in Summit Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is from 1 p.m. Saturday until the service.
