Eva B. Ethington, 63, of Brazil, died Dec. 5, 2003, following a car/pedestrian accident on Hwy. U.S. 40 East. She was born Nov. 30, 1940, in Clay County, the daughter of Dorothy Ferry Guy.
She attended school at Bee Ridge. During her working years, she had worked as an over-the-road truck driver. She also worked for the Department of Corrections at both Putnamville and Rockville. She was an associate at Wal-Mart and last worked as a clerk at the east Casey's convenience store.
She is survived by her children, Sheila Boyles of Montgomery, Ala.; Everett Butt of Boston, Mass.; Candra Deakins of Brownsburg, Ind.; Estell Ethington and his wife Angela of Brazil; one stepson, Dewayne Ethington; 11 grandchildren, Crystal Boyles; Ryan Boyles; Melissa Boyles; Brooke Siegrist; Eric Siegrist; Robert Muncie; Cameron Muncie; Dustin Ethington; Kay-Lynn Ethington; Makayla Ethington, Ethan Ethington, two sisters, Ester Green of Alaska and Donna O'Hare of Center Point; two brothers, Tom Archer of North Carolina and Sam Archer of Colorado; many nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Edward Guy and two brothers in infancy, Lee and Brian.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at French Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Alstott officiating.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 12 noon to the time of the service. At her request, she will be cremated with her ashes buried at a later date in Cottage Hill Cemetery.
