Anthony "Tony" Wayne Marlowe, 40, died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003, at his residence in Brazil.
Born June 2, 1963, to Priscilla Grice Sawyer and the late Gene Marlowe in Marion, S.C., he was employed at M.I. Home Products Inc., Brazil, as special delivery coordinator for six years.
He was an avid fan of NASCAR, football and college basketball; his favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys, Duke Blue Devils and the Atlanta Braves. He faithfully watched the TV show, "Survivor". He was a faithful contributor to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Joe Sawyer, of Marion; a brother, Kenny Marlowe of Marion; his maternal grandmother, Mary L. Grice of Marion; and several friends, Greg Lane, Bralynn Robbins of Brazil, Kathy Palmer of Brazil, Jim and Kim Hargis of Brazil and the employees of M.I. Home Products.
Maternal grandfather James Robert Grice and paternal grandparents Agness P. and Robert Marlowe, preceded him in death.
A celebration of life will be Saturday, 10 a.m.-noon, in Miller Memorial Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's in his memory.
French Funeral Home handled arrangements to Marion, where funeral services and burial were earlier this week.
