Larry D. Michael, 60, of Brazil died unexpectedly at home Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2003.
Born Dec. 26, 1942, in Clay County, he was the son of Elmer and Mabel Starrett Michael who have preceded him in death.
A graduate of Brazil High School, he retired from Navistar in 1991 after 26 years of service.
On May 17, 1964, he married Janice Dunigan in Brazil.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and his computer; he was also a CB enthusiast and went by the "Birdlegs" and "Birdman".
He was also preceded in death by: a daughter, Cindy; a grandson, Zachary; and a brother-in-law, Gilbert Dunigan.
Survivors include: his wife; a son, Rickey Michael and wife, Debbie, of Brazil; two daughters, Tina Boillard and husband, Roger, of Carbon, and Laura Grey and husband, Randy, of Brazil; 14 grandchildren; two great-randchildren; six sisters, Patsy Rader and husband, Frank, of Brazil, Carolyn Branson and husband, Edgar, of Reelsville, Alice Wools and husband, Chuck, of Staunton, Sandy Black and husband, Bill, of Brazil,Betty Austin and husband, Randy, of Tennessee and Peggy Michael of Brazil; two brothers, Jack Michael and wife, Janet, of Clay City and Kenny Michael and wife Tina of Brazil.
Visitation will be Saturday from 4-8 pm at Lawson-Slack Funeral Home. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Brother Jim Porter officiating. Burial will be in Calcutta Cemetery.
